You don't need to carry a painting across town to find out whether it can be saved. Photograph it — front, back, and any damage — and Greg will tell you what it needs and roughly what it costs.

Since 1935
Percy Dow learned to frame at Collins Art Co. In 1935 — not a year most people would choose to start a business — he bought the J. T. Brown Frame Shop in the W. T. Grant Building downtown.
What made it was Amon Carter. When Carter remodelled the Hotel Texas he ordered hundreds of framed prints from Percy Dow, and that one job carried the shop. Sid Richardson followed, and the Woman's Club of Fort Worth. Ninety years later the Amon Carter Museum is a mile up Camp Bowie from the counter.
I still very much look forward to coming to work every day. Just like my grandfather and my father did.

A good deal of what comes through the door isn't valuable to anyone but the person carrying it. A grandmother's portrait. A wedding photograph that got wet. A frame that came off the wall. It gets the same bench and the same hands as anything else — which is why a lot of the people at the counter are the children and grandchildren of people who stood there before them.
